About:Visa Policy of China

Hi, I have been offered a job tecahing English at a school in Shanghai. We were hoping to organise a Z visa, however, they need my university degree certificate. I have completed my degree but my certificate wont arrive until 2 days before my planned departure. The school have now said to apply for an F visa which can then be changed to a z on my arrival in China.

What I want to know is, how easy is it to convert an F to a Z? Is it expensive? And, what is the process?

Many thanks

If the school in China promise to convert the F visa to a Z visa for you, then it won't be so hard. As for the fee, you may ask the school to afford it for you.

It's not hard to convert your F visa to Z visa.
All the documents you should provided:
passport
"Temporary Residence Registration Form";
two 2-inch passport pictures, with white background;
Health Check report, original;

Foreign Experts Certificate(FEC) or Alien Employment Permit (AEP);

A copy of the Business license of the Employer, with a seal on it;

Visa application form, attached, with a seal of your Employer;

Application letter to "Convert L/F to Z in China's Mainland", a sample attached;
Hope can help you
