About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I have a UK passport but am a Thai Buddhist monk. In the past I have been issued with a 15 day visa only. Now I am told that the consulate here in Bangkok is only issuing 7 or 10 day visas to monks. In 2008 I extended a 15 day visa in Shangrila, Yunnan within one hour, but I was perhaps very lucky! I am worried that I may have a problem extending a 7 day visa in Qinghai or Gansu particularly in smaller towns or cities. What do you think? Neil

i don't think it will be so hard as what you think of, if you may provide all the necessary documents for the extension.
