About:Top 8 Reasons Why Your China Visa Gets Rejected

I have several friends living in Hanoi, Vietnam who all bought airplane ticket to go to Shanghai for 5 days (from May 29th to June 2nd) for Expo 2010. All the non-French friends got tourist visas with no problem from the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi, but the Embassy made many demands upon the French (e.g. need a Chinese copy of confirmation of every hotel they will stay in; need a letter translated into Chinese proving they are working in Vietnam; etc..) and would not accept any of their applications. Is there any way they could get a visa on arrival to go to Shanghai? Many thanks for any light you can shed on this problem.

I have heard that China has tighten the visa policy because of the Shanghai World Expo, so you have to prepare all the required documents the China embassy requires, if you want to get the visa.
