I only know that Chinese passport should be renewed one month before the expiration.

BUT ME HEAR MY FRIENDS SAY MUST RENEWAL 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE EXPIRATION. REAL OR NOT ?

A passport can be renewed at any time before the expiration, but it always takes a long time to renew it and most country required the passport must be at least with 6 months' validity, so most peole often renew their passport 6 months before the expiration.
