About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Good Morning!

We are having a trip to HongKong this coming june and staying there for 4 days. My mother's passport is still a green passport (handwritten passports). It is still valid until October 2011, i just want to ask if there will be a problem with our entry in HongKong since there are some rumors that some countries do not accept passports which are not machine readable. can you please confirm the passport requirement of HongKong?

Many thanks,
