About:Tongren Travel

My husband and I wants to visit Shanghai in august for our anniversay. Our budgeet is VERY tight, but we want the first year special. We want to experience as much as possible in 7 days including the EXPO. We are taking a ferry from Osaka Japan. What cheap hotel can you recommend? Not neccesarly near the expo tho. And what cheap tours are available of the great walls? Can you recoomend some must see areas?

Are you only interested in the area around Shanghai or other highlight cities in China? Around Shanghai, you can visit the Suzhou and Zhouzhuang. I think it's cute.

Areas in close proximity that and are cheap enough to get there. I haventh found a hotel as yet but I'm looking online. I feel so lost trying to plan this by myself. Can you recommend an hotel too plz

Hi, Kandy, don't get frustrated. Since you'are in a tight budget, how about choosing some youth hostel? I see many foreigners live in the youth hostel and it's clean and comfortable. Such as Blue Mountain International Youth Hostel and Le Tour Shanghai International Youth Hostel. You can get more information on the internet.

Thanks sooooo much Linda. I'm a dunce to this but please bear with me. I'm actually checking the prices now and notice the pages are in chinese. lol. I'm not mad, jus tired of trying to figure how this and that kanji. grhh. ok. I'm leaving from the Shnaghai international ferry port at (No. 500 Dongdaming road. Bus No. 37, 921, 22, 33, 135, 934, 868). How can I check the closness to any of the hostel? I didnt notice any offering free pick-up. thanks again
