shanghai - beijing by bus longway, how much and how many hours......??? can I spend the night in the bus and then arrive in hotel near the teracotta or forbiddencity.2/ and how to get back from beijing - shanghai

I am sorry, Teracotta in Beijing?! Anyway I will take it as near Forbidden City. I do not think it is a good way to travel from Shanghai to Beijing by bus, which may costs 15 hours. There are night D trains which are more comfortable and faster.
