About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Hello, I am currently in Beijing on a X Visa that's about to run out July 31st. I would like to apply for a multiple entry L visa, I have friends I would like to visit in Tokyo, Japan, so I'm wondering if it would be easier to apply for the L visa at the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo?

It's cheaper to fly to Tokyo than New York from Beijing...

In fact, it would be easier to apply for a China vis ain your home country, but it is possible to apply one in Japan. Good Luck!
