Hi there
I am from Malaysia and a Malaysian. My friends and I will be visiting HK and then to China fro 2 weeks on 12/6-22/6. My questions are:

Malaysian passportholders are exempt from visa to Hk for as long as 90 days, so I don't think you need to apply for a Hk visa. However, you do need to apply for a visa for your trip to mainland China, which should be applied from the China Embassy in Malaysia in advance, since no on arrival visa is available for mainland China.
