About:Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

I heard there's a baby panda section where you can pay extra to hold a baby panda instead of an older panda. How much does it cost? Also, how much is it to hold an older panda?

According to Ms.Panda Lover’s review, she spent CNY 1000 holding a panda cub to take pictures for less than a minute. An adult panda costs around CNY 500. She wrote this in April, 2009.

But the prices are different sometimes. See, somebody asked “Is it still $160 US dollars?” Don’t know why.

I visited the Panda Centre 16/5/2010. They are not allowing anybody other than staff to hold the baby pandas. Apparently this new policy is due to the possibility of the pandas catching some sort of infection
