I am planning to visit Xinjiang in September 2010. I wish to take the train from Urumqi to Kashgar. May I know how much is the cost and how long is the train journey? Thank you. Choon Eng

There is one fast train and one accommodation train on this route and the ticket fare varies by different seat classes. You can search it yourself on this website. While the whole journey takes 25 hours (by fast train) and 32 hours respectively (by accommodation train).
