Do you have business partner in China? For Business visa Application, the Invitation Letter from your Business Partner Company and the original Visa Notification Letter from authorized Chinese Government Office are required, your business partner can apply for the visa notification letter for you in China, then send them to you.

Are you 100% sure about applying in Pretoria? I spoke to a businessman today and he told me whenever he goes to the East, he goes to the Chinese consulate in Johannesburg.

(I understand you're from Canada, but you must know that the driving difference is over an hour, maybe more, to get to Pretoria... only 10 min to Killarney)

Do you think I should go to Pretoria because I need the process rushed?

Ms.T Alswang, I think you may just go to the nearest Consulate-general of China to apply for the China visa.
