About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I am from Singapore and is going to stay in China to be with my wife to be (she's a China citizen). We plan to get married in China and I am going to stay there almost forever.
1. Do I need to apply visa on my 1st trip to China?
2. Upon register our marriage in China, can I stay in China forever? Or what must I do to stay in China forever?
3. After register our marriage, if I need to return to Singapore, then go back to China, must I apply visa?

1.yeah,you should apply L visa to China for your first trip.If the duration is not enough,we can help you extend .
2.Upon register your marriage in China,you can extend your L visa many times as you want,each time you can extend for one year,this is spouse visa.
That depends on how many entries visa you had,if just one entry when you return to Singapore,you should apply another L visa.
I think it's not difficult for you to apply L visa.

1. yes, you need to apply visa for your 1st trip to China.
2. you can't stay in China forever even though you register your marrige with a Chinese citizen in China, you can't first find a job in China and apply for work visa, then change it into residence permit, generally valid for 1 year, if your continuous stay in China is 5 years and the stay duration per year is more than 9 months, then you can apply for permanent residence permit.
3. yes, if you just a single-entry visa to enter China for marrige registration, then return to Singapore go back to China, you need to apply for a new China for the new entry.
