About:Passport

Hi, i am a hong kong citizen and has a hong kong id card plus a usa green card since i am not yet a us citizen. However, I book my ticket back to china at july and notice my hong kong passport has been expire. Can i leave USA with that or must i renew it ?

You should renew it before your leave USA, please renew your HKSAR passport at Chinese embassy/consualte in USA

So does it means if i don't renew it, they won't let me leave USA?

They will let you leave USA, however, you can't enter China by holding an expired passport.
