Hi, I am looking at moving to Wuhan to study Chinese. However, I have heard that people in Wuhan do not speak 普通话 is that true? Thank you for your help.

Some of the people in Wuhan do not speak Putonghua, specially the elders. But don't worry about this, the people can speak Putonghua. BTW, welcome to Wuhan!

Yes, Wuhan is a great place to learn Chinese. Though people have a dialect, they will all speak Mandarin with you.
