About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

Hello,

I'm Azrul, plan to travel to Shenzhen end of this month for 5 days. I decide do not want to do roaming but want to buy china prepaid local sim card, so easy for me to call any numbers in Shenzhen ( esp hotel and transfer).

Kindly, anyone can advise me:-
1). How to buy local sim? Which one is the better?
2). Is local Sim card sold in airport? Where?
3). How about the cost for register? Is it include credit?
4). Is that I can call or sms to Malaysia with this local Sim card? What is the rate?
5). Any documents need to submit during register?

Thanks and hope somebody can help me because my traveling date is not far.

Azru,
It is said that China Mobile’s signal is strong so that you may choose China Mobile. I’ve checked out that you need a China warrantor if you want to buy a SIM card. And you are also required to offer your passport.

If the international call service is offered, you can use it to make calls back to Malaysia. And the cost is high.

Did you manage to get a simcard in the airport? Im traveling there this week, and i am looking for a simcard as well.
