About:China Tourist Visa

Hi,

My husband is traveling to China for the first time, he is a US citizen, so we have to fill out the Tourism Visa for him. It says we have to provide hotel booking, but we are staying at a friends apartment in Beijing. He is not a family member, so we cannot prove relationship and also it's his temporary home, because he only uses it when he visits China. Should we not include anything for where we are staying?

Thank you,
Enkhzaya Pinette

The hotel reservation is not required for tourist visa application for USA citizens. Does the visa officer ask your husband to provide the hotel reservation? If the round-trip flight ticket is available, you can provide it.

Your husband can write his address and contact information in China. For more information, you can refer to http://us.china-embassy.org/eng/hzqz/zgqz/t84246.htm
