Do you mean that you are India passport holders and now live in Nepal?

You can apply for Tourist Visa (L visa)for visiting friends, you need to prepare requirements same as the tourists to China because the invitation letter from your friend is useless for your visa application, generally speaking, the L visa is issued to aliens who come to China for sightseeing, visiting families or other personal affairs.

(i) Original passport which has more than 6 months left before it expires from the date of application for a visa and sufficient blank visa pages.

(ii) One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken passport photo; all the items on the application form should be completed neatly with genuine information;

(iii) Proof of sufficient finances to cover all expenditures in China when requied.

(iv) Confirmed return flight ticket and its photocopy.

(vi) Photocopy of personal data page of applicant's passport.

(vii)Nepal residence permit or work permit.
