About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Im travelling to Beijing via Hong Kong where I will be catching a connecting flight to Beijing. Do I need a transit visa?

You don't need a transit visa for Hong Kong, South Africa passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 30 days.
