If your baby are in the same passport with one of parent, he doesn't need a visa to retun to Mainland China. If he has a seperate passport, he needs a China visa to enter Mainland China.

mrs estolopez:

I gave birth last year here in Guangzhou. You definitely need to apply for a passport for your baby right after she/he's born. Then the visa follows. That's the only way you and your baby can exit from china to go back home and vice versa.
