I am from Philippines and planning to visit China on March 23, 2011. Does it mean if I arrive in Guangzhou I can't buy the ticket that day going to Beijing? Thanks!

The train tickets are always under great demands, so you would better buy the tickets in advance. However, trains tickets can be bought at most 10 days (20 days for Z, D and G trains) in advance, thus you would better find some booking agent to buy the tickets for you in early March.
