About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hi, I am going to have my internship in china but the company said that I may acquire just a tourist visa and then we are going to change it when I get to China. I understand there is a medical examination when getting study visa and I am afraid I have a minor rheumatic heart disease, so what if I fail the medical exams, can't I get a study visa or am I still allowed to work or intern in china? thank you.

Ms.kate, you don't need to provide the medical examination record if stay in China for less than 1 year. otherwise, you have to provide the medical examination.

Study Visa (X Visa): Issued to an applicant who comes to China for the purpose of study, advanced studies or intern practice for a period over six months.

if you fail the medical examination, you can't get a study visa and not allowed to do intern in China.
