Question

I am visting China next week. I have to go to Qingdao and also visit Shenzhen. I plan to be in qingdao for 4/5 days and about another 3 days in shenzhen. Which is the best place to stay in a mid range hotel in both places. And whats the best way to go between these places. plane, bus, metro, or car. i am a budget traveller and therefore would like to exercise within a limited funds. I dont mind travelling a little more of time and its inconvenience, but i would like to if i can save a lot of money doing this.

Take train (T162/159) from Qingdao to Guangzhou and then take bullet trains from Guangzhou to Shenzhen. The ticket prices are CNY266 (hard seat) and CNY 480 (lower hard berth). From Guangzhou to Shenzhen, D trains cost CNY75 (second class soft seat). As for hotels, you may choose those economical hostels such as 7 Day, Home-Inn and Hanting Inn. A single room costs less than CNY200.
