About:Xiamen Travel

Hi everybody!

I'd like to go to Xiamen on July for 2 days. I will be on vactions in Taiwan at this time and won't have any visa for China.
I checked the flights from Taiwan to Kinmen and it seems OK.

I have some doubts about the 5-day visa entry at Xiamen that I can apparently apply to entering at Xiamen from Kinmen.
Is it possible to know if applying to this visa works well and the cost of such visa ?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Thierry.

Take a look at this Xiamen Municipal Government page, read under "Foreigners": http://english.xm.gov.cn/investmentinxiamen/investmentpolicesandlaws/200808/t20080827_274052.html

Appears you can get an SEZ Visa allowing you to stay for 5 days in Xiamen. If you wish to leave Xiamen you would need to visit the exit entry bureau to make necessary adjustments to your visa.

Fees vary by country, Americans usually have to pay the most. It may be better to apply for a visa with the Chinese embassy in the city where you are now. You can get an expedited one in a day or two.
