About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

I borned in HongKong and live in Canada. I will travel with my Canadian Passport to go to Shanghai in June for 1 week, then to HongKong. I also hold a "HongKong Residence travel to Mainland China Entry Permit", Do I still to get a Visa?

I don't think you need a visa to Shanghai if you hold the Hong Kong Residence travel to Mainland China Entry Permit (Return Home certificate). In principal, you should first go to Hong Kong, then enter Shanghai, in pratical situation, the immigration officer will let you enter Shanghai from overseas directly if you hold the Return Home Certificate
