About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Dear Sir.
I am Iranian and I am in Malaysia and I like to go china for visiting and my flight is not direct (from Kuala Lumpur, 1:30 pm to Hong Kong, 5:30 pm and from Hongkong, 7:00pm to china 10:30pm)
I like to know I need Hongking visa?

US passport holders are exempt from visa to Hk for 90 days.
