About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Hi!
I have a single entry visa that expires on the 4th of may and I have a flight to Sanya from Yangshuo on the 2th.
If I extend my visa while I'm staying in Yangshuo I would have to wait for a week so I would miss the flight.
Do you think I can apply for an extension when I will be in Sanya?

Actually, you may only apply for an extension of sta if you won't exit China.

Thank you for the answer.
But, the fact is that Sanya is still in China. I forgot to mention it but it's a city in the island of Hainan.
Do you think I can apply for an extension there on the 3th of may even though my visa expires on the 4th?

You'd better apply for the extension of stay 1-2 weeks ahead of the expiration of the duration of your visa.
