About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Im holding a Philippine passport going to shanghai thru PAL and catch a conecting flight using american airlines going to USA. I am flying standby with AA. Do I still need to get a Chineese Visa? If yes, do you have transit visa? What are the requirements?

Hi Mr. Francis,

No, I will not exit the airport. I am a Filipino citizen but United states immigrant (green card holder) and I am going to Chicago but will use Philippine airlines going to Shanghai as revenue passenger but my conecting flight from shanghai to chicago is American Airlines and I am a non revenue passenger on AA (standby). Do I still need to get a visa even if I don't intend to exit th airport of shanghai?
