Hello!I would like to travel next month to the Shanghai Expo for one week.  Can I go on a tourist visa and if so, do I need an invitation?  If I need an invitation, where can I get one as I am traveling alone just to visit the expo.  I have permanent residence in Ukraine, but am a US passport holder. yes, you can go to Shanghai Expo on a tourist visa, the invitation letter is not required. You can apply for China tourist visa at Chinese embassy in Ukraine because you hold permanent residence in Ukraine.
