Can i apply for business visa without invitation from any china company or organisation. I want to go for business research on photoelectricity.

You can't obtain Business Visa if you don't have the invitation letter from a China company or organisation. The China company also should apply for visa notification letter issued by competent Chinese authorities (government or its foreign affairs and trade commissions)for you.
