it is complex for tourist visa application if you want to be her sponsor. it will be simple if she apply for tourist visa by herself, she just need to provide the following documents:
(1) An original copy of passport with enough blank visa pages, valid for at least another 6 months.

(2) A fully completed copy of Visa Application Form signed by the actual applicant;

(3) One recent 22(in.)-sized color passport photo, white in background, with a full front view of the applicant's head and shoulders but without any head cover.

(4)round-trip air tickets

(5)other documents required by visa officer, such as financial certificate.

What is considered adequate funds for china visa for somone from Thailand ? . The hotel is paid for so is it 100 RMB per day, 150 RMB per day , 200 RMB per day ? like to have an idea what we are talking about, so i can prepare my fiancee to have everything ready, when she apply. Is cash acceptable or does she need travellers checques ?

The original bank certificate with receipt or original passbook, updated within the month that she is applying is required, generally spaking, the standard is USD 100 per day.

i think the travellers Cheque is also accepted, in fact, sometimes, the financial certificate is not required by visa officer if he feel that the applicant can burden the expense for travelling in China.
