I would apply as a professional. The company requires that candidates for employment already have a HK work visa in order to be hired.

Hi! I am currently in Beijing with an F visa and my friend has an X visa (both student) we are traveling to Thailand in June and wanted to travel for a few weeks before returning to China, however both of our visas will expire during this time so we need to get a new one to last until August 2010. Would a tourist visa be the best option? If so do we need proof of residency in the country we are applying in? Or do you think we could get extentions on our current visas?? Also, do you have any idea how long it would take to get, or any expedited costs? Mostly, we just want the cheapest option and would consider going to Hong Kong if it would be easier or faster. Thanks for your help!
