Do I need a transit visa to exit the airport and spend the night at Holiday Inn ?My flight lands at 11PM and I leave at 7:40 the next day. I am thinking of going into Holiday Inn Express at -NO.72 WEST DAQIANG STREETQINGYANG DISTRICTCHENGDU, 610015CHINA Also, would I be able to exchange money at the airport at that hour ?TIA

I think you need the visa. There is only one money changer in Chengdu Airport, as I know, and I think it will be closed at that hours. Chengdu airport has visa office but I am afaid if it is still open at that time. If you want to get to the city center, think about having the visa in advance.
