It still takes 4 working days for visa application processing, yes, the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre is to be opened in May 2010, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore, following the success of the visa centers of other countries, has decided to introduce a Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) in Mid-May 2010. CVASC accepts visa applications of Singapore ordinary passport holders and citizens of other countries bearing Singapore permanent residency for traveling to mainland China, collects visa fees on behalf of the Embassy and returns the processed applications.

CVASC is not involved in the visa assessment and decision-making process. It is the Embassy that decides the issue of any type of visa.
