About:Haikou Attractions

I will be visiting Hainan Island this July for 6 days via Airasia Airline and will be landed at Haikou Airport. Shall I proceed to Sanya on the same day or touring Haikou first before going over to Sanya? How far is Sanya from Haikou in term of KM and time taken? and what are the recommended transports and required fares available for this destination? Any local tours that provide the prescribed tour packages around the island?
I shall be pleased if any one could help me in answering the above questions. Thank you!

Sanya is about 300 kilometers from Haikou. It takes around 3 hours if you take the bus. There is no direct bus from Meilan airport to Sanya. You need take airport shuttle bus from the airport to East Bus Station on Haifu Road(海府路) and then take bus to Sanya. There are two typs of buses: the ordinary bus takes more than 4 hours but the ticket is cheap (around CNY 49). The fast bus costs around CNY 79 but it saves about one hour for you. The Wuzhi Mountain and Tomb of Hairui in Haikou are worth a visit.
