Could you please tell me sth about the most popular residential areas for expats in Shenyang? For villas and apts. Thank you.

you will not live on the street, many places to rent, villas and apts. from 1000 to 10000 CNF (1US$=6.5CNY appr.

It depends if you're looking for upscale or mid-scale. There is one place called Riverside Gardens, across from the Shenyang Sheridan Hotel. Another popular one is called New World Garden located near the riverside. Both are upscale places for foreign expats to live. On the mid-scale range, there is a place called Shenzhou Gardens located in the Shenhe District. I know of many foreign teachers who live there. Good luck!
