Ms.Sue, the simple way is don't click the criminal record on the visa application form of China, the visa officer won't check it, you can still obtain a China visa, however, please don't take part in illegal activities in China, otherwise, all his previous criminal record will be found. Once the criminal record is found, he will be in the blacklist to enter China.
