From city center of Hong or Hong Kong airport? Train is the fastest, available at Hung Hom Train Station, Kowloon.

Thanks for the feedback. One more query -If we go by road from Shenzhen to Hong Kong are there any visa formalities ? Indian and Omani nationality passport holders

Hi, just got back from Hong Kong yesterday. I took the bus A43 going to Shehzhen. And then taking train heading to Guangzhou. But to my dissappointment the train arrived at Guangzhou Railway Station. So we have to get the MTR again to go to Guangzhou Railway Station (LiuHua Hotel). If next time i want to go to Guangzhou again can I get direct train to West Guangzhou Railway Station?

Its okay Ms. Dania. Appreciate ur help anyway. Actually I did ask the ticketing staff where the train should stop. But they didnt understand English. So if I want to go to Guangzhou Train Station, do I purchase the ticket at the same counter (in Shenzhen Railway Station)?

From the city center, yes, direct train is faster,but if you start from the airport, take the direct bus is even more convenient, it takes 250hkd/person. Or you can take the bus A43 to Shangshui, then from there take the train to luohu,just one stop, then take direct train from luohu to guangzhou. it sounds a little complicate, but it actually saves money and takes less time.

Hi, Dania,

Please read below:
you can take the bus A43 to Shangshui,(it takes 28hkd,45mins）, then from there take the train to luohu,just one stop,（20hkd,5mins) then take direct train from luohu to guangzhou. (75rmb, one hour), It takes about 3 hours including customs time and transportation. Good trip.

I am sorry i didn't make it very clear before. If you want to go to Liuhua hotel, When you buy the ticket, you should tell them you are going to guangzhou train station, not the guangzhou Dong(Dong means east)station. The destination name should be only two words,(广州）instead of three (广州东）

Yes, it will be same place to buy the tickets, just tell them to guangzhou, not guangzhoudong, when you get the ticket, you can check on the ticket, it will show the destination is guangzhou

it will save you about 40-60RMB for one person, but it does requre good direction sense. The through train from Hung Hom is better.
