Hi, there is no tour pick you up at the airport if you have not book any. 10 hours are quite limited for a visit to the Great Wall. If you plan to go, I suggest you go to Badaling for easy traffic and do the visit by yourself. You can follow this transportation way,

Take Airport Express Train and get off at Dongzhimen Station, take Subway Line 2 and get off at Jishuitan Station, walk to Deshengmen Gate and take bus no.919 to Badaling Great Wall. The total journey takes about 2 hours.

Thank you Fiona,
I was also recommended to take a taxi and do the tour myself, and then also a little city tour (to the old town/forbidden city). But i heard that the drivers are not very good in English, and that i would have to have all info translated into mandarin (canontese?). But would a taxi tour cost too much or is it as cheap as they say?

Hi, Ms,Ingrid,

Is the bus transportation complicated? I also agree. So take a taxi is a good idea. It indeed costs too much than bus. But since you only have 10 hours to go, taxi is a better choice. You should take the officially designated taxis. At present, many taxi drivers are learning English and they can speak some simple English. But it is not bad if you also prepare the mandarin notes.
