Mr. Johnnash:  It is very nice of you to answer prompty but another question please, how about hotel bookings? Do I also have to book first before applying for a tourist visa? And more important question, my husband has no chinese residence visa yet. I understand that they only have a working visa, so what else do I need? Hope you answer immediately.

Mrs.Wingkle Monponbanua, yes, you have to book hotel before applying for a tourist visa. Your husband should have the residence visa (residence permit)stamped on his passport because work visa holders shall go through residence permit in the local public security department within thirty days of entry into China.
