from east station, can i hop on to subway line 1get off at huangsha station

From East Station, can I hop on to subway line 1 and get off at Huangsha station and cross the road to South Station?

no you can't . south station only have bus. no metro yet. maybe you better take line3,get down at hanxichanglong station,  then take bus, or take bus from guangzhou to south station. toby
