About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Hello,
I am a British National and am wishing to attain a Chinese 30day tourist visa from Hanoi as I am travelling in Vietnam at the moment. I have already booked my inbound and outbound flights to China as well as my accommodation. I am only visiting the major tourist cities of Beijing and Xi'an and I have a valid passport with enough visa pages. Should there be any issues with me attaining this Visa in Hanoi? and do you advise applying directly through the embassy or through a travel agents?
Many Thanks, Eleanor Rees

Ms.REESEK, I think that you can get a single-entry tourist visa in Hanoi, you can apply for visa directly through the Chinese embassy. Besides your original passport, the hotel reservation, inbound and outbound flight tickets, you also need complete one visa application form attached with one passport photo.

Hi Ms Reesek,

I was just wondering if you could let me know how you got on getting your chinese visa in Hanoi? Was it as difficult as I have been reading? I am in exactly the same situation as you were, I am traveling in vietnam at the moment but am hoping to cross into china for a week before I fly back to the UK. Any advice or info on getting the chinese visa would be much appreciated.
