About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi,

I am a Filipino citizen and Singapore PR. I would like to apply for a toursit vis for myself, my wife and my son (all Singapore PR)to visit my brother in Shanghai. What are "other documents consuls request?'

Also, we are considering staying with my brother, do i still need to produce a hotel booking?

Thanks in advance

Mr.Eric, the hotel reservation is not required, but application for visiting family or friends should provide certificate of relationship. For Filipino applicants, the requirements are different from the ones for Singaporean applicants, you can refer to http://ph.china-embassy.org/eng/lsfw/hzqz/t171818.htm and http://www.chinaembassy.org.sg/eng/lsqw/qz/t585199.htm to compare the difference. Maybe the visa office in singapore will ask you to return to Philippines to apply for Chinese visa.

Hi Eric, I have almost the same scenario with you. I'm a filipino citizen too. And we plan to travel in China this April. I still don't know if we can apply it here. But I will try this week. Most of our fellow filipinos were rejected and asked them to go back in Manila to apply the tourist visa there. Keep me posted too if you already went to Chinese embassy here in Singapore.
