Hi,I just get marry with my wife(china citizen). Right now I need to apply my visa too stay in china. May I know what type of visa i can apply and how long i can stay in china? By the way, I am still in malaysia right now. lai

Mr.lai, you can only apply for Tourist Visa (L Visa), it is possible for you to apply for L visa with a long term stay duration, 180 days at most, because you are spouse of Chinese citizen. You can also apply for multiple-entry tourist visa valid for 1 year, then you have to exit China when the stay duration per entry is up. The best solution is that you find a job in China, then return to Malaysia to apply for work visa, after entry, your employer help you to apply for temporary residence permit, valid for one year.
