About:China Train

I would like to purchase two soft seat tickets from Shanghai to Zhenjiang on 29th April. Please advise how far in advance I have to wait as the dates are not available when I try and book now. I appreciate the assistance.

There are many trains from Shanghai to Zhenjiang daily and if you choose the D trains, it will only take two hours, so there is no need to buy sleepers. The tickets for D trains can be bought 20 days (including your departure date) before your departure date. Besides, The Labor Day (one of the Chinese legal holidays) will be from May 1 to May 3, so you would better purchase the tickets as early as possible.
