About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Hi, I'm also a Malaysian, currently studying in Singapore. We take the case that I have successfully applied for a visa for China for 3 months from the Embassy of China in Singapore. Then must I embark for China from Singapore? Can I simply use the visa issued by the Embassy of China in Singapore and take flight from Kuala Lumpur?
