About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Hello Friends,

Can someone please advise if it possible to get a Chinese visa in Hanoi? I have read that it is difficult to get a visa directly with consulate in Hanoi.

My wife and I are currently in Nha Trang and making our way up to Hanoi. We would like to cross the broader at Lai Cao to Kunming by April 9th to take flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. We would like to apply for a multi-entry 6 month tourist visa, if possible. If not, a double entry for 3 months will be okay, too.

We would also like suggestions on reputable visa agencies in case it will be easier to obtain visa by that method.
We are USA citizens.

Thanks.

Mr.Justin, I think that USA citizens can still get a China visa in Hanoi, it is likely for you to get a single-entry visa valid for 3 months before entry and 30 days stay duration after entry in China. Generally speaking, for the applicants of developing countries, it is not hard to get a China visa in a third country except that great event will be held in China, such as Olympics, 2010 Shanghai Expo.
