Dear Sir,Please give us the information, my technical staff China citizen, his passport will expired on January 2011, can he extend his passport now, or he should wait for at least how many month less from his expired date.Thank you for your attention,Yenny

In principal, he should renew his passport within 6 months when his passport will expire, the earlist time for him to renew the passport is August. However, I think that he can also renew his passport now, even though he apply for renewal earlier. Please don't worry, he can go to Chinese embassy or consulate in India to apply for renewal of Chinese passport.
