About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I am an American teaching English in Japan and would like to visit Hanoi before traveling to Shanghai. Can I get the Chinese tourist visa in Japan, even though I will be coming from Hanoi first?

yes, you can get the China tourist visa in Japan even though you will come to China from Hanoi, it is will be easier to get a China visa in Japan because your teach English in Japan and hold an alien registration card.
