About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

What is the best way to travel from Guangzhou to Kaiping? And then from Kaiping to Hong Kong? How long does it take and cost?

hello, you can go to TIANHE COACH TERMINAL to take bus to kaipin, 2.5 hours and 10 USD. Then go to YICI station at kaipin to take bus to hongkong, it is 2 hours and 20 usd. There are different stops. don't hesitate to contact me if you have further questions

Mr. Vance....thanks for the info...now more questions....which bus line do I need to take (do not see Kaiping as a bus route name) and where can I find schedule, both weekday and weekend? Also, where can I find reliable transportation in Kaiping to reach various villiage areas(heard bad stories on potential bad taxi drivers? Thank you so much for all your help!

Ms Susan...hello...from your words, I think you know China a bit. yes, you are right. the taix driver will ture around, but not go to the destination directly, not potential but obivious. do you know Chinese? in fact, I can say to you. there is no schedule, even there is schedule, they won't go as schedule. And, as the transporation,I will find later and tell you then. btw are you in guangzhou now?

Mr. Vance....I am not in Guangzhou yet but planning a trip closer to summer. Yes, I do speak Cantonese, enough to get by at least. I have never been to my ancestrial village but would like to see, as I do know the village name. Thank you so much for doing research for me. I look forward to your reply! Thanks again.

great, you know cantoness. can you tell me the location of the village? I can consult with my classmate who is from kaiping. and don't worry too much. you can make it. before I went to Hongkong, I aslo tried to know everything about my trip. after I enter Hongkong, I had knew what I tried to do is useless. because the hongkong staff offer me a map and a lot of useful advice warmly and freely. unfortuantly, kaiping is not the same as hongkong. u can contact me by mail, yingdong1028 hotmail com. hope I can help u
